Project Manager - Investment Banking – Corporate Finance


COMPANY OVERVIEW

We are a small rapidly growing corporate finance firm specialising in gaming and digital entertainment. Based in Sydney, Australia, our firm combines financial expertise with an in- depth understanding of the gaming industry. We assist our clients with strategic advice on funding solutions and Mergers and acquisitions. We are headquartered in Sydney, but the position allows for remote work from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand, with some travel required.
JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our mandates. You will have the unique opportunity to work closely with our clients and external stakeholders, overseeing the end-to-end execution of our projects. This role demands exceptional analytical and organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for the fast-emerging global gaming and digital entertainment industry.
Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end-to-end strategic projects including private placements and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis to evaluate market trends, competitive landscapes, and potential investment opportunities in the gaming and digital entertainment industry.
  • Collaborate internally as well as with other advisors to develop and execute strategic plans tailored to our clients’ needs.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with current and potential clients
  • Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including financial models, pitch decks, and investment memorandums.
  • Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Due Diligence
  • Stay up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in the gaming industry.
  • Contribute to sales initiatives, such as identifying new clients, nurturing relationships, and driving revenue growth, as you gain experience with our firm.
  • Support our clients in negotiations
Qualifications
  • A degree in Finance, Business Administration, law or similar is a plus but not a requirement
  • Experience in managing corporate finance advisory projects of this type, preferably with a focus on digital entertainment.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the gaming and digital entertainment industry including market trends, key players, and emerging technologies is a plus but not a requirement.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to conduct detailed financial analysis and develop accurate financial models and communicate these to the team and to our clients
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing projects and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Our revenues mainly come in the form of fees based on the successful closing of transactions. The remuneration structure for this role will reflect this, with a lower monthly salary and a share of the success fees for successful projects you have been involved in.
